Vintage Quilts

  Who doesn't love quilts? All of the quilts in these photos were made by my husband's grandmother. I really like looking all the different fabric scraps that were used and wondering what kind of a life they had before they became a quilt. These quilts are at least 25 years old and one is much, much older, and one of them is backed with a sheet that actually matches a sheet set my mother had when I was a kid! What a small world.
  Drexel is such a ham, I couldn't get him to move when I was taking the first picture, he insisted on being in it. Or maybe he's just so used to me taking his picture that he thinks he's going to get a treat whenever the camera comes out.
